Cédric says he appreciates Swansea City’s style of play ahead of Saturday’s meeting at the Liberty Stadium.

Saints beat the Swans 3-1 at St Mary’s earlier in the campaign and head to Wales in excellent form having not lost in their last five fixtures.

Francesco Guidolin’s side are on a positive run themselves, having not lost since his arrival at the club four games ago.

And the Portugal right-back is expecting an entertaining game this weekend.

“Swansea is a good team. They always try to play football and I appreciate it because they like to have the ball,” Cédric told youtube.com/southamptonfc.

“Also, it’s a tough stadium to play because it’s always a difficult game there, but I think we can keep our way of playing because we are in a good moment.

“The team has just one idea and that’s three points.

“Even at home against Swansea it was a good game and a good result also.

“Now we are going there with the idea to win the game. They always try to play out and Southampton also likes to have the ball and command the game.

“I think it’s going to be a very interesting game.”

With five clean sheets in a row heading into the game against Swansea, Cédric says the team will be doing everything to extend that run.

“We will keep the idea of a clean sheet because when we do we are closer to the win,” he added.

“We are defending well and then we can surprise because we have a lot of players with quality in front.

“In the next few games we are looking to keep the same way of playing.”
