Fans asked to take part in equality questionnaire

PUBLISHED

08:00 30th March 2016

Southampton Football Club is asking Season Ticket holders and Official Members to help our continued efforts to monitor equality data about our supporters.

As a club, we’re committed to preventing discrimination in all its fields of operation and within the stadium, and ensure the services we provide are appropriate and relevant.

To help us achieve this, we’re asking Season Ticket holders and Official Members to complete a questionnaire to help us monitor equality at St Mary’s.

The information you provide will allow us to implement specific programmes in order to address any under-represented groups within our supporter base, potentially increasing attendances for fixtures throughout the season.

We’re committed to developing positive policies to promote equal opportunities and prohibiting unlawful or unfair discrimination on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belief, sex or sexual orientation.

In order to ensure that these policies are being carried out, and as part of our ongoing commitment towards achieving equality in everything we do, the club is monitoring the diversity of Board, staff, fans, participants and community outreach participants.

Please click here to take part in the questionnaire.

Please note, the information provided in the questionnaire will be treated as confidential. You are not required to provide your name and completion of this form is not compulsory. The information will be used for the sole purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of our Equal Opportunities Policy.

The club has also updated his Equality Policy. Please click here to view it.
