Southampton Football Club today welcomes Swiss luxury watchmakers Eterna as our Official Timekeeper.

Eterna will provide the Club with over 150 years of timekeeping expertise to help us record our Premier League journey.

Eterna are the latest global brand to become associated with Southampton, following on from the appointment of Sunseeker as an Official Partner earlier in the season.

The partnership will see Eterna install a new clock at St Mary’s and have their brand added to the stadium’s timing inventory, such as the in-game big screen - registering the time of every goal scored by the Saints.

Andrew Markham, Head of Sales at Southampton Football Club, said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Eterna to Southampton as our Official Timekeeper and latest global brand partner.

"When we create a new partnership it’s important that the companies we work with share our passion for excellence and continuous improvement. In Eterna we have found such a partner.

“Their stated goal is to achieve ‘excellence in all things’ and as pioneers in watchmaking they have created a series of firsts over the years;  from patenting the first wrist alarm clock to inventing the ball-bearing mounted rotor system that became the industry standard. Eterna is a company that is always seeking a better way – just like Southampton.

"Our shared philosophies make Eterna the ideal Official Timekeeper for Southampton and we look forward to creating a successful global partnership in the years ahead.”

David Vallata, Vice President at Eterna, said:

"We are very excited about this partnership with Southampton Football Club.

“As a founding member of the Premier League, Southampton shares the same values as Eterna: a pioneering and innovative spirit, attention to detail and a belief in teamwork.

“This partnership provides us with a global platform to increase awareness of the Eterna brand and gives Southampton and its fans a world-class timekeeping partner to mark the exciting moments in the seasons ahead.”
