Seven Saints players are set to represent their countries next week as World Cup Qualification continues across the globe.

Steven Davis will continue to skipper Northern Ireland next week following his call up for their qualifier against Azerbaijan.

The midfielder is expected to lead Michael O’Neill’s side out at Windsor Park in Belfast on Wednesday 14th November, with the Green and White Army aiming to close the gap on the top two sides in their qualification group.

Maya Yoshida is in the Japanese squad that travels to Oman for their World Cup Qualifier on the same day, whilst Emmanuel Mayuka will be with Zambia, who face South Africa in the “Nelson Mandela Challenge.”

Also receiving an international call up for next week is development star Alberto Seidi, who has provisionally been named in the Portuguese Under-21s squad for the second time this season.

Portugal host a friendly match against Scotland in Setubal on 11th November, with the final call made later this week for the game being played in preparation for the Under-21 European Championships taking place next year.

These call ups are in addition to the previous announcement that James Ward-Prowse, Calum Chambers, and Jack Stephens are amongst the England Under-19s squad playing in a friendly against Finland at AFC Telford next Tuesday.
