Saints' Under-18s host Sunderland this weekend knowing that victory would guarantee their progression to the Elite Group Stage of the Barclays U18 Premier League.

Jason Dodd's team currently have a four-point lead at the top of National Group 2 with four fixtures left to play in the opening stage of their season.

Three points on Saturday morning would mean Saints are mathematically certain to finish in one of the top three spots in the group, which would mean they take their place in the Elite Group Stage.

The Elite Group Stage begins in January and consists of the top two teams from Group 1, top three from Group 2 and top three from Group 3.

Those teams each play against one-another twice, with the top three progressing to the four-team knockout stage along with the winner of a play-off consisting of the sides which win Qualification Groups 1 and 2, which are made up of sides who did not qualify for the Elite Group Stage.

Ahead of Saturday's game, you can watch interviews with U18s Jake Flannigan, Harrison Reed and Charlie Higgins on Saints Player now.
