Skandia & Saints Making A Difference

Posted on: Mon 05 Oct 2009

Saints star Adam Lallana recently visited St Mary's CE Primary School and Thornhill Primary school to present a cheque for £500.

The presentation was part of the Club's Adopt the School programme in partnership with Southampton based financial group Skandia, which has proved to be a great success. The project forms part of Skandia's sponsorship of the Club's charitable trust Saints in the Community.

The schools will be working with both organisations throughout the Academic year, with Skandia offering the two schools an array of volunteering opportunities and classroom support, with Saints delivering a complimentary After School Club throughout the year as well as offering unique opportunities to get involved with the Club.

Veronica Lucas (Deputy Head Teacher at Thornhill Primary School) commented on the opportunity.

"We're delighted to be working with both Skandia and Saints, the partnership definitely enhances the learning and development of the children, and the school really appreciates the work both organisations do."
