The Health Kicks System bridges the gap between the health services and adult men supporting Southampton NHS men's health targets of; increasing physical activity and encouraging a better understanding of health issues affecting men. As well as having the opportunity to take part in the inaugural Health Kicks tournament participants will also be able to undertake a personal health MOT test.
Mark Abrahams (Head of Community) explained, "There is clear evidence that adult men do not engage with the health services which can lead to complications in later life, therefore through working with health agency experts, the Saints brand can attract the target audience and ultimately support the NHS ambitions of improving men's health."
The Health Kicks citywide project is also funded by Comic Relief and works in partnership with Social Health Innovations. For further details on Health Kicks System contact Saints in the Community on 0845 6889370.
