Saints in the Community aims to:

• Engage with all areas of our community using the power of football to capture the imagination of both adults and young people.
• Deliver an innovative and creative sport and education programme.
• Make a positive difference to people's lives in the community we serve.

The Trust achieved the Football League Silver Accreditation Award in March 2008 demonstrating the strong foundations set up to operate a professional and effective programme. The four key themes that underpin the objectives of the Trust are:-

• Sports Participation
• Social Inclusion
• Education
• Health

Our key principle is based on working in partnership with agencies and organisations who demonstrate specialist skills in their sector. The Trust is focused on the 'Every Child Matters' government agenda and uses football as a proven vehicle to bring together a wide range of partners. This ensures the ongoing expansion of our programme working outside the traditional boundaries of the sport.

Southampton-based financial group Skandia has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the local community with a three year sponsorship deal of the Saints in the Community Charitable Trust. Skandia became the headline sponsor of the Trust in July 2008 and have integrated a number of its company objectives with the Saints in the Community programme.

Saints in the Community is always looking to develop the programme and welcomes partners from the commercial, statutory or voluntary sectors. The Trust has a successful track record for delivery results against the 'Every Child Matters' agenda as well as achieving a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy for the business community.
