Alan Pardew has named his first line up of pre-season, which includes new signing Dan Harding at left back and trialist Graeme Murty on the right. Stern John lines up alongside Matthew Paterson in attack.
Pardew got a rapturous applause as he took to the Saints bench for the first timeon a bright day at St. Mary's with a light breeze in the air .
Hearts got things underway kicking off from right to left in front of the Itchen Stand lining up in an all blue kit with Saints in their traditional red and white stripes.
2: Saints forced an ealy corner and moments later went close to their first effort on goal when Joseph Mills drove over from the right hand side.
7: Matt Paterson is fouled inside the Hearts half and the resulting free-kick from Simon Gillett is plucked out of the air by Balogh.
8: The visitors go close as Laryea Kingston tries his luck from distance, but his shot flies wide of Kelvin Davis' right hand post.
11: Hearts win their first corner of the match as Lee Wallace's cross is deflected out of play. The corner is headed wide by Ismael Bouzid.
13: GOAL 1-0 Saints take the lead as Adam Lallana picks up the ball from 25 yards out and unleashes a low shot which arrows into the bottom left corner for the first Saints goal of the Alan Pardew era.
15: A move started by the industrious Lallana finds Graeme Murty who delivered a pinpoint cross from the right which Joseph Mills threw himself at, but his effort went narrowly over from close range.
17: An acrobatic effort from Witteven at the other end fails to trouble Davis as Saints continue to get an early grip on the game.
18: Suso Santana lets fly from range before another corner from the visitors is cleared, this time by Stern John with a header.
21: Murty finds Paterson who in turn lays a neat flick into the path of John inside the area, but the Trinidad frontman's claim for a penalty as he falls down are waived away by referee Steve Tanner.
25: Wayne Thomas is alert to block Suso's break into the area as the travelling support turn up the volume inside St. Mary's.
28: Kingston is fouled by Paul Wotton around 30 yards from Davis' goal and the Hearts forward steps up to take the set-piece himself only to fire high over the bar and into the empty Chapel Stand.
32: As the tackles start to slide in from both sides Jonsson tries another speculative strike at goal from the opposition which goes over.
36: Thomas clears under pressure from Wallace. Gillett then breaks up a slick passing move from Hearts. The break forward sees John find Mills who was then pulled back on the edge of the area.
38: The resulting free-kick is struck hard by Gillett but saved comfortbaly by Balogh.
41: A lofted ball forward is flicked on by John into the path of Paterson who sets himself up for a dipping shot which is held firm by the Hearts custodian.
43: An offside against Witteveen halts an attack from the visitors on the left hand side.
44: Paterson and Zaliukas tussle for posession with a free-kick going against the Saints forward who appeared to have been caught has he held his face in the aftermath.
45: An off the ball incident between Thomas and Kingston leaves both players with knocks, but both are able to continue.

46: Mills pounces on a loose ball and strikes a firm shot at goal but his effort is well held by Balogh.
48: David Obua's curled free-kick on the edge of the area is pushed away to safety by Davis.
51: Perry puts the ball out for a corner under pressure from Witteveen and Murty heads away the danger from the set-piece.
54: Paterson creates some space for himself 25 yards from goal before shooting low towards the near post but Balogh is across quickly to make the save.
55: Michael Stewart makes a dart forward into the Saints area but is abuptly ended by a strong sliding tackle.
56: Murty's delivery from the right his flashed wide by the head of Paterson as the game starts to open up.
58: Stewart, who had been getting treatment following the earlier challenge returns to the action.
59: Harding makes his first foray forward before being brought down by Bouzid in the middle of the opposition's half.
62: Mills makes another encouraging run forward as Saints prepare to make some substitutions.

64: GOAL 2-0. Lallana wins a free-kick on the right hand side. Harding whips the ball in and substitute Rasiak scores with his first touch by poaching a close range effort.

67: Superb link up between Rasiak and Lallana sees the former end up providing a stinging shot which Balogh has to turn behind for a corner.

69: Saints Sub: Lancashire ON Thomas OFF. A knock ends Wayne Thomas' involvement as Oliver Lancashire replaces him.
70: Paterson pulls the trigger following a Rasiak flick on but the young forward's shot is blocked.

77: Gary Glen fires an ambitious attempt wide.
78: Harding breaks forward to supply Lallana whose shot is saved well.
78: GOAL 3-0. As play resumed from Lallana's shot, Murty collects the ball and delivers a cross on to the head of Rasiak who gets his second goal of the game.
80: Inventive play from Nade as he clips the ball out to Driver on the left who plays it back across to the former Sheffield United forward but he can only scuff a shot into the path of Davis.

88: Gobern forces a corner after collecting Rasiak's headed knockback from Thomson's cross.
