Hammond Makes Team of the Week
New signing Dean Hammond has been rewarded for his impressive debut performance by being named in the Football League's League One Team of the Week...
The 26 year old midfielder joined Saints on August 19th, becoming Alan Pardew's fifth signing of the summer and slotted straight into the heart of midfield for Saturday's league game against Brentford.
Fellow-new boy Dan Harding gave Saints the lead in the second half, but Hammond clearly caught the Team of the Week judges' eye with a confident display in the middle of the park.
The former-Colchester United captain is cup-tied for Tuesday evening's Carling Cup second round clash against Birmingham City, but will be looking to impress again at the weekend when Saints travel to Stockport County.
