Saints Yeovil

Saints boss Alan Pardew is looking forward to welcoming Yeovil Town to St. Mary's today.

The former Glovers player revealed that he is hoping to use last weekend's spirited 1-1 draw at league leaders Charlton, as a catalyst towards getting three more points off the negative tally that Saints have started on this season.

"It's worse to play badly than it is to not get what you deserve from a game but sometimes you can play a lot worse than we did last Saturday and win," he said in the build up to this afternoon's match.

"The frustrating part is having this hanging over us, so it's important that we get good backing again on Saturday, we might be a little nervous but we're working hard on getting the guys prepared properly."

On the injury front Pardew is still without right back Graeme Murty, but the former West Ham manager is optimistic of a return being on the cards soon for the 34 year-old.

"Graeme we hope is around only around three weeks away and we look forward to welcoming him back in when he's ready."

Murty's absence aside Pardew has a strong pool of players to choose his side from today. Oscar Gobern has joined MK Dons on a month's loan, whilst Ryan Doble is away on international duty.
