Former Saints loanee Neal Trotman is eagerly anticipating his first return to St. Mary's this evening.
The 22 year-old Preston defender is currently enjoying his second loan spell of the season in League One, and is likely to line up for tonight's opponents Huddersfield Town.
Trotman thinks that the Terriers will be in for a tough game from what he knows of Saints during his time on the south coast.
"They're a good passing side who will test us," he told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
"Were it not for having those 10 points deducted, they'd be right up there and they will still fancy their chances of a play-off spot, because they're going well and there are enough games left."
The youngster helped Lee Clark's men to a 2-2 draw against high flying local rivals Leeds United on Saturday, and he is looking to perform equally well on the big stage this evening.
"The Leeds game was great, and I really enjoyed the challenge, and it should be good again tonight, because it's a good stadium and they always get a decent crowd.
"From a personal point of view, I'm just looking to help us kick on and keep our good run going. It was disappointing to concede from a corner, but overall, I think we defended well as a team.
"I think (Luicano) Becchio and (Jermaine) Beckford would admit they had a tough time, and the aim is to ensure Southampton's players are saying the same thing."
