Saturday's match winner, Dan Harding felt that Saints put in a complete performance in the 1-0 win over Leeds.
The full back popped up to score the only goal of the game in the 25th minute against his former club, and was equally pleased to secure a clean sheet at the other end.
"We showed both sides of our game," he told Saints Player. "We've got creative players in our team and as a back five we dug in, so that's pleasing for us and today we showed we can do that as well as scoring goals.
"For me, it wasn't about scoring against Leeds, it was about getting the goal that won the game which was important, the fact that it came against one of my former clubs is irrelevant for me.
"I don't get into the box very often and luckily it just landed at my feet where I was only two yards out so fortunately I was able to put it in."

Harding is enjoying a run in the team again after a brief absence at the turn of the year and says that he is now more determined than ever to hold is place down in the side, as well as rewarding the supporters that turned out at St. Mary's in terrific number once again.
"I had an illness then Millsy (Joseph Mills) came in and did fantastic, so I had to watch a few games from the bench which made me hungry to get back into the team. I'd like to think it's slightly made me a better player as well.
"The fans have been fantastic both here and away from home where maybe sometimes we've let ourselves down a bit, but the fans have been absolutely brilliant, they were back today for a packed house and the players get an extra buzz from that. We find out a couple of days before how ticket sales are going and when we hear that it's going to be packed out, there's a buzz around the whole place, which I think is adding to our game.
"It is not only the crowd, but the facilities and the staff that here to help us that makes this a fantastic club.
"Today we set out before the game to show everyone that we're a good team in this league and hopefully we've done that. We wanted to forget about the disappointment of last week, put it behind us, and I think that we did.
"We've shown that we can beat the best in the league and now we've got to do it week in, week out, so it's going to be on us now to give another good performance and hopefully we can get three points against Swindon on Tuesday."
