Our mascot for Wembley has been chosen!
Congratulations are in order to Matthew Hughes (aged 10) who will lead Saints out at the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final on Sunday 28th March.
Matthew won the lucky ticket competition organised by the Club, and cannot wait for his big day.
The Bursledon junior school pupil has been a Saints season ticket holder for four years and lists Rickie Lambert, Dean Hammond and José Fonte amongst his favourite players.
This will be his first experience of the redeveloped Wembley Stadium, where he will be supported by his best friend Jake and his parents. He admits to being very excited, if a little nervous, and hopes that the team can repeat the best game he has been to so far, when Saints demolished Wolves 6-0 at Molineux almost three years ago to the day.
He recently returned from a trip to America where he took in a game of one of his other favourite sports, Basketball which he plays every Friday after cricket and football!
Matthew prepared for the day as he already has his Saints JPT shirt! |
