Jonathan Forte has joined League One side Notts County on loan until the end of the season.

The striker, who had a temporary stint at Preston North End in November, moves on to Meadow Lane having found opportunities limited at St. Mary's this term.

He appeared in all four Carling Cup games, but Forte's most recent involvement with Saints was as an unused substitute in the FA Cup third round win at Coventry earlier this month, and as he didn't play in that game, Jonathan will be eligible for the Magpies when they travel to Stevenage in the fourth round of the competition on Saturday.
