FIRST YEARS

Name: Will Britt
Position: Goalkeeper
D.O.B: 22/03/1995
Strong shot stopper who opted to join the Saints Academy from Brighton to become a first year scholar. His height is an obvious advantage as he measures in at 6' 2", and hopes to emulate sporting hero David James.

Name: Chris Johns
Position: Goalkeeper
D.O.B: 13/05/1995
Northern Irishman arrived at Saints in 2011 initially on trial. He's a strong communicator and dedicated in training. Chris also plays golf, badminton and tennis, whilst his father used to play rugby at professional level.

Name: Fraser Colmer
Position: Defender
D.O.B: 11/11/1994
Southampton lad and full back capable of playing on either side. Fraser is an intelligent and tough tackling defender who is aiming to follow in the footsteps of former Saints star Gareth Bale.

Name: Luke Shaw
Position: Defender
D.O.B: 12/07/1995
Attacking full back who has made rapid progress as a schoolboy with Saints, earning two call ups to the England Under-16s which saw him feature in the prestigious Montaigu tournament in early 2011.
Luke was scouted by Saints at the age of 8 and he has been with the club ever since. Shaw can score goals and poses a threat from set pieces.

Name: Jordan Turnbull
Position: Defender
D.O.B: 30/10/1994
Centre back who measures in at over 6' 0" joined the Saints Academy in 2007 after playing at Swindon Town's Centre of Excellence.
Steadfast Turnbull broke into the Under-18s in 2010/11 with his main strengths one v one defending and heading.

Name: Sam McQueen
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 06/02/1995
Cultured left winger who has progressed through the ranks at Saints since he was 8 years old.
Sam hails from Southampton and signed a longer term youth contract in November 2011.

Name: Omar Rowe
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 30/10/1994
Compact winger who joined the club at Under 16s level Omar has the pace and ability to take players on and excite supporters.
Rowe previously played for West Ham and although born in England he can also represent Jamaica through his family.

Name: Dominic Gape
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 09/09/1994
Hard working and tough tackling central midfielder who has been with the club since he was 7 years-old. He previously played local football in Weymouth, and hopes to work on his pace and communication skills whilst developing as a scholar.

Name: Calum Chambers
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 20/01/1995
Tall, talented, and creative winger with good awareness and a quality final product in his locker.
Calum is versatile too as he ha slotted in at full back on occasion in the Under 18s, but his main strengths lie in attacking positions.

Name: Bevis Mugabi
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 01/05/1995
Tall and physical competitor in the middle of the park who is comfortable both in midfield and defence. He boasts good awareness on top of his skills in the air. He broke through the ranks at Fulham before making the switch to the Saints Academy for a scholarship.

Name: Harrison Reed
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 27/01/1995
Tenacious and hard working midfielder who also boasts a great range of passing. At 5' 6" he may be small in stature, but his ability on the ball makes him a valuable addition to any side. Those attributes combined with his ginger hair draw obvious comparisons to former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes.

Name: James Ward-Prowse
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 01/11/1994
Tidy player with strong leadership skills. James is a mature head on young shoulders and has already represented England at Under-17s level.
He's been with the club since the age of 8 and is looking to add more goals to his game.
Ward-Prowse featured in every game for the Under-18s in 2010/11 forming a key partnership alongside skipper Andy Robinson in the middle of the park.

Name: Gregory Ariybi
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 18/01/1995
American national who has previously spent time with Chelsea's Academy. 'Gboly' has flair and an ability to take players on from a variety of positions as he's comfortable on either wing or playing in a role just behind the strikers.

Name: Jamal Branker
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 25/01/1995
Clever winger who joined the club at Under 10s level helped by once scoring nine goals in a game against his hometown Reading.
A good passer of the ball with an eye for finding space in wide positions.

Name: Jake Sinclair
Position: Striker
D.O.B: 29/11/1994
Quick forward who knows where the goal is, was scouted by the Saints Academy at the age of 8.
He has a sporting background with brother Scott formerly of Chelsea, playing for Swansea City in the Premier League, whilst his other brother Martin has represented Team GB in the Paralympics.
SECOND YEARS

Name: Steve Mowthorpe
Position: Goalkeeper
D.O.B: 05/01/1994
Second year scholar who has stepped in ably for Jack Dovey on a number of occasions. Steven stands at 6 feet tall and is a strong shot stopper who distributes the ball well. He has been involved with Saints since Under-14s level.

Name: Conor O'Sullivan
Position: Defender
D.O.B: 03/11/1993
A pacy full back who hails from Bristol, Conor has been involved in the Saints Academy since 2007 after impressing during a six week trial.

Name: Matt Young
Position: Defender
D.O.B: 26/01/1994
Nicknamed 'Cat', Matt is another composed full back who has risen through the ranks impressively, forcing his way into the Under 18s side, and making the step up to Under-21 level too.

Name: Daniel Bowman
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 10/10/1993
An athletic and technically assured defender who joined the set up at Under 9s level. Bowman has already got an Under-18s victory over rivals Portsmouth under his belt after breaking into the older group last season.

Name: Corby Moore
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 21/11/1993
Corby's ability on the ball and awareness make him well suited to a central midfield role. His dedication to playing in the Academy since the age of 8 has seen him play regularly in the Academy set up where he has now progressed into the Under-21s. He signed a longer term youth contract in November 2011.

Name: Joe Curtis
Position: Midfielder
D.O.B: 04/02/1994
A midfielder who likes to get forward, he formerly captained Leicester City's Under16s has joined Saints for the Club's reputation of developing young players. Joe's father used to play professionally for Charlton Athletic and his hometown Northampton.
