Speedy Welsh winger Preen is a current second year scholar in the Saints Academy set-up, but he has already represented his country at Under-17 and Under-19 level.
He is a versatile player who can also operate in attack and joined the club aged 12 from Cardiff City.
Preen was called into the first team squad for the first time for the match against Gillingham at St. Mary's in October 2009 shortly before he turned 18. He was an unused substitute on the day.
