SFC Debut: Millwall (A) FA Cup R4 28th January 2012
One of the hottest properties in Asian football arrived at Southampton keen to push Saints into the Premier League.
Tadanari has established himself as a leading light in the J League, scoring 15 goals in 32 Japanese top flight games during 2011, whilst a memorable winning strike against Australia in the 2011 Asian Cup epitomised the quality that he will bring to the English game.
After awaiting clearance from his homeland to play in England, Lee was able to rubber stamp his free transfer from Sanfrecce Hiroshima late on in the January 2012 transfer window.
The 26 year-old forward put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal (with the option of a further year), rejecting several advances from top-flight European sides.
'Chun' made an exciting start to life in English football, with his goal in February's 4-0 win over Derby County going on to be voted by fans as Saints' Goal of the Season. However, his debut season was cut short in March after he suffered a foot injury.
