Southampton Football Club has always enjoyed an excellent reputation for the high level of training given to all matchday staff within the Club. As an organisation, we have taken this reputation to a different level and have become one of the few appointed Crowd Safety Training Centres within the Football and Premier Leagues.

Through the NVQ Programme we have embraced the opportunity to deliver accredited qualifications to our matchday staff and as it has been so successful we now deliver to neighbouring Clubs.

The NVQ in Spectator Safety is beneficial and relevant to all indoor and outdoor events, not just football. This qualification can be a pathway for many volunteers who already undertake volunteering within the sport and physical sectors, to enable them to gain a nationally recognised qualification and progression into working at major events.

Each candidate is supported throughout the course with Information and Guidance (IAG) from the initial induction through to gaining the qualification. IAG is fundamental to the learning process and plays an important part throughout the training course.

The Training Centre has grown rapidly over the last six month's, however it is based on the solid foundations of the training procedures that were always in place. We are successful with a proven track record and consider ourselves to be a dynamic and innovative team, capable of training and delivering to the highest standards at multiple venues.
